Malta has been crowned the world’s best diving destination at the prestigious boot Düsseldorf Dive Awards 2025, held on the 24th of January at the Dive Centre in Hall 12 of the world’s largest yacht and water sports trade fair.

Recognised for its exceptional diving conditions, Malta offers a unique variety of wreck dive sites, stunning underwater landscapes, and world-class diving experiences.

This award was determined by a panel of expert judges, including chief editors from leading diving publications such as Divemaster, PLONGEZ!, TAUCHEN, and Taucher.net, along with public voting from the international diving community.

Competing in the Destination category, Malta stood out for its state-of-the-art diving infrastructure, accessibility, and diverse underwater experiences suitable for divers of all levels.

With year-round diving opportunities, crystal-clear waters, and a rich marine ecosystem, Malta attracts thousands of divers annually. The islands boast over 40 professional diving centres, two decompression chambers for safety, and sustainable diving initiatives such as the Cirkewwa Marine Park and Blue Flag-certified beaches. Innovative experiences like the Underwater Malta virtual museum further enhance Malta’s appeal.
