Forming part of Sliema's infamous shopping area, Bisazza Street is today not only one of the busiest roads but also probably one of the last largely pedestrian stretches in the town.

One old photo, thought to date back about 50 years, reveals a completely different look to the street we know today. The road and wide pavements have since been replaced by a brick road, and plants and benches now adorn both sides. Interestingly, the shops visible have long been replaced by other modern establishments and there's also no sign of the Plaza shopping complex where it now stands on the left hand side.
