If Malta’s fight against COVID-19 keeps going as well as it currently is, it seems like we just might be heading towards a restriction-free summer 2022 – and the latest announcement from local health authorities is testament to that.

That’s right! Only yesterday, Malta’s Health Ministry announced that the islands are now accepting COVID-19 vaccine certificates from four new countries: Kosovo, Palestine, Bermuda, and Bahrain.

Local health authorities are also recognising the certificate issued by Israel following its inclusion in the EU’s Digital Vaccine Certificate Program.

The authorities highlighted that the certificates will be valid for vaccines approved by the European Medicines Authority.

The latest additions mean that Malta’s now accepting vaccine certificates from 52 countries around the world. These include all EU countries, Australia, the United States, the UK, and Switzerland, amongst others.
