Pop sensation Katy Perry is confirmed to headline this year’s Isle of MTV festival in Malta, organisers have revealed. According to The Times of Malta, the Grammy‑nominated artist will take centre stage at the free open‑air concert in Floriana’s Il‑Fosos this summer, marking one of the biggest acts ever to appear at the island’s flagship music event.
Tourism Minister Ian Borg had teased on social media that this year’s line‑up would feature a major international name, and entertainment insiders confirmed to The Times of Malta that Katy Perry, famous for hits like Roar, California Gurls and Firework, is set to deliver a standout performance.
Katy Perry is also gearing up for her European Lifetimes Tour later in the year, in support of her latest studio album.
The Isle of MTV festival, a staple of Malta’s summer calendar since 2007, has previously hosted global stars including Lady Gaga, David Guetta and Snoop Dogg.
