As an island with such a rich history spanning centuries, we’ve got spots around the island that are older than the pyramids of Egypt and which are simply breath-taking. One such place is definitely Mdina, and this cinematic drone video proves just that.

This YouTube account, Travel Penguin, shot a drone video of the ancient city, putting its beauty on full display. The amazing footage starts off with glorious shots of Mdina’s city and its surrounding views, moving on to an attraction that is hard to miss: the incredible stonework that is found on the main gate.

The video takes the viewer through the narrow streets of this medieval city showing historic spots, intricate details and stunning architecture. It also alternates between this view and an eagle eye’s shot of the city, showing that it’s actually of quite a considerable size.

The quaint streets, houses, and little corners speak of a time gone by and are willing to share their secrets if you’re willing to listen.
