If you’re planning outdoor events this week, take note as we’re in for a wild ride! According to Maltese Islands Weather, this week will bring a mix of sunshine, clouds and a few isolated showers across the Maltese Islands, while a noticeable shift in wind direction is expected to dominate conditions over the coming days.

The week starts on a warm and pleasant note, with Monday seeing partly cloudy skies and temperatures reaching a high of 28°C. Tuesday is expected to be mainly sunny with highs of 27°C, making it one of the brightest days of the week.

Conditions are set to become more unsettled on Wednesday, when isolated showers are forecast across parts of the islands. Temperatures will slightly decrease to around 26°C, while rain risk rises to 55%, although rainfall totals are expected to remain low.

From Thursday onward, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected, with temperatures gradually dropping to between 22°C and 24°C by the weekend. Despite the cooler feel, most days are forecast to remain largely dry.

A key feature highlighted by Maltese Islands Weather is the changing wind pattern expected throughout the week. Northwesterly winds are set to become the dominant airflow, especially from midweek onward, bringing fresher conditions and rougher seas by Saturday. Wind strengths are expected to fluctuate between Force 2 and Force 6 at times.

Are you looking forward to this northwesterly wind?
