Malta has hit the quarter of a million mark in the COVID-19 swabbing department as announced by Health Minister and Deputy PM Chris Fearne on Facebook.

“Today, we’ve surpassed a quarter of a million swab tests. Malta is the fifth country in the world with the highest amount of swab tests,” he said in his post. “This means we can catch positive patients immediately, isolate them to minimise the community spread. It is important that we remain responsible, wear masks, keep social distancing, wash our hands, and if we don’t feel well, we call 111,” he said in the live video, acknowledging all the frontliners working in all facets to combat the virus.
