Tuesday 12th October: Malta registers 17 new COVID-19 cases and seven recoveries overnight
Seven virus patients are being treated at Mater Dei Hospital.

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 17 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The islands have registered seven recoveries, meaning that the country’s total number of active cases now stands at 280.

The post also noted that until yesterday, 11th October, Malta had administered 842,643 vaccine doses. 25,937 of these were booster doses.

Fortunately, no COVID-19 deaths were registered in the past 24 hours. This means that the country’s virus death toll remains at 459.

A total of seven patients are being treated at Mater Dei, one of whom is in ITU.
