Hamrun’s main street also known as St Joseph High Street is one of Malta’s busiest roads filled with many shops and different establishments.

However, the photo below proves that this is not something new and the street has been one of Malta’s busiest ones for many decades.

This bird’s eye view shot was taken some time in the 1960s.

One can observe many vinatge Maltese buses and cars passing through the high street.

Additionally, many cars can be spotted parked along the side of the roads.

The road is also covered with one traditional Maltese balcony after another, a characteristic which is still noticeable to this day.
