This artistic installation in Zabbar will have you reaching for the skies!
The rainbow-coloured umbrellas have been a hit on social media.

It’s not often that you see images of umbrellas raining down from the skies – in summer! But, that’s exactly what’s been happening these past few days, with photos of an artistic installation in Zabbar going viral.

The piece – created to mark the Crossroads streetparty and concerts which are taking place this Saturday in three separate venues in Zabbar -  was set up last Friday with the collaboration of the town’s main local NGOs, according to a spokesperson for the council.

The link is to provide an “artistic walk path for people during the Crossroads event when crossing from one venue to another”, the council explained.

And, it’s very possible that the stunning sight will be with us for longer than we thought, since the council is not yet sure how long the umbrellas will remain up for!

Let’s hope we get to enjoy them for some more time to come. All together now… we’re singing in the sun, just singing in the sun…
