‘They have made me out of chocolate’ – Russell Crowe praises Maltese artist who sculpted his Gladiator character
In a tweet uploaded to twitter, now known as X, Russell Crowe praised the Maltese artist, Tiziano Cassar, who sculpted the Oscar winning actor out of chocolate for this weekend Hamrun’s Chocolate Festival.
Tiziano, sculpted the leading character that Russell Crowe played in Gladiator, Maximus Decimus Meridiu as the successful film was filmed in Malta.
“Some people get statues made out of bronze. Some in marble. In Malta, they have made me out of chocolate”, Russell wrote.
“This weekend in beautiful Malta is the world famous Chocolate festival”, he continued.

“When the completion is over I will be available to eat”, he jokingly concluded.
The Hamrun Chocolate Festival is taking place tomorrow 21st October, in the streets of Hamrun where you can view this masterpiece of a sculpture first hand.
