And they're both for a great cause.

It’s not unusual to get stuck in the humdrum of life, casually taking notice of time passing by as you flit from one task to another, running out of steam on that hamster wheel we call routine. When life gets busy, it’s easy to take things for granted. Sometimes, it takes a shock to snap us out of it. Time is finite, we soon discover, and what we do with it matters more than anything else. So why not start afresh this week and make a difference - having a good time to boot - at these charity events designed to make the most out of every moment?
The Fab Beatles Tribute band live for Hospice Malta

Fab Beatles Tribute / Facebook
This Saturday, legendary nightclub Tigullio is hosting a rocking concert by British band Fab Beatles Tribute – one of the most celebrated ensembles of their kind - in aid of the Hospice Malta, an NGO which carries out immense work alleviating the burden of cancer patients.
Expect classics such as Hey Jude, All You Need is Love and Love Me Do in a line-up rammed to the gills with modern classics. This band is said to mimic the original group to (almost) perfection and have even been recognised by the BBC for the quality of their sound, as well as commissioned by stand-out record label EMI to promote a compendium of Beatles’ tracks amassed in the CD, Beatles #1.
And after playing all over the UK, Europe, the Middle East and America, the band will hit the stage at Tigullio, supported by Malta's very own rocking blues band, Out of the Blues. Entrance is against a small donation of 5 euros in aid of Hospice Malta – a drop in the ocean, but every little counts!
Work out in the capital in aid of World Cancer Day

Monday 4th February is World Cancer Day, 24 hours dedicated to raising awareness of the plight – and hope – cancer patients experience. And, this Sunday 3rd February, the National Cancer Platform is highlighting the importance of committing to reducing the rates of cancer – by encouraging people to keep moving and keep healthy! Wasn’t that one of your New Years’ resolutions anyway?
The event starts at 10am at Valletta's City Gate, where headphones will be provided to all participants. Music and guidance – by experienced instructors in the field of fitness – will be provided to end your weekend on a good note, in more ways than one. To participate, all you need to do is fill out the form, get your gym wear together and you’re ready to go! Now where did we put those shoes…
