SkyUp airline has announced plans to start direct round-trip flights from Ukraine’s Kyiv to Malta from 29th May 2021. Flights will be operating twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays according to an announcement.

SkyUp gushed about Malta, saying that while it’s three times smaller than Kyiv, it’s still got a lot to offer and plenty of things to discover at every turn. SkyUp talked of Malta’s “impressive grottoes,” Valletta’s cobbled streets and cafes, “the history of ancient Mdina” and the temples, and “authentic small towns,” which are just some of the things to explore on the Maltese Islands.

Tickets are already available on the official skyup.aero website with flights being as cheap as €39. “Even in case of flight cancellation due to pandemic restrictions, the full amount of ticket price will be transferred to the passenger's balance in the personal account on our website,” the announcement assures. “We also provide the opportunity to withdraw money from the balance to the card.”
