Shop ‘til you drop! 10 essential tips on how to make it through Black Friday in Malta
The rules are out the window: it’s everyone for themselves!

Yup, it’s upon us again! Black Friday is possibly the craziest day of the year, and if previous years are anything to go by, you'll see people running into stores, fighting over last items and scourging through aisles on end. A little intimidated? We feel you. Get ready to shop ‘til you drop with these 10 essential tips on how to strategically get through a Maltese Black Friday.

1. Make a list of what you’re desperate for

Prioritise your needs to ensure you get everything you want. Maybe boots, jeans, sling bag, tissues for after… it’s going to be on emotional ride! Go in, spend, get out. It’s that simple!

2. Forget about style - go comfy!

You’re about to battle it out with the vultures, so those heels ain’t gonna help hunny. Put your hair up in that messy bun, get your comfy hoodie and sweats (designer, at least) on, and get ready for the day ahead.

3. Head over early to beat the queues

Start your day early, and head over to your fave stores to get all the good stuff before anyone else! Pro tip: You’ll also beat the morning traffic this way.

4. Avoid car parks (you’ll get stuck in there)

Car parks are to be avoided like the plague! Instead of heading in to spend your pay cheque, you’ll be waiting in ridiculous standstill traffic to get in (or out)! Not worth the hassle, hun!

5. Make sure your credit card is ready!

Pay off your credit card ASAP to avoid hearing “Your card got declined, miss,” which is one devastating sentence to hear on Black Friday!

6. Keep an eye out for offers/sales announcements

Your fave brands will definitely have some kind of discounts this week, so make sure you know what they are and what you’re looking for to make a beeline for those particular stores on the day.

7. Keep hydrated! (and stock your bag with snacks)

Stock your bag with snacks and plenty of water. It’s going to be a long day and you’ve got no time to stop for lunch! You’re on the clock!

8. Plan your escape route

Make sure to plan your escape route out of the jungle that is Black Friday. Shoppers will be swarming, and you’ll have to save yourself at some point from the vicious sale-searching vultures!

9. Vampire-it and head out late

If you’re not fond of the queues and Black Friday rush, you can head out to shop late at night when the crazy shoppers are back home sorting through their things. The Point, for example, will be open till midnight on the day, so you can definitely get some (hopefully quiet) shopping done later on.

10. Wait it out for Cyber Monday

Not ready to head to the stores and brave the madness of Black Friday? You can always ditch the craziness by waiting it out for Cyber Monday and keeping an eye on your favourite online stores for their Black Friday deals!

Are you ready for Black Friday? Good luck, and see you on the other side!
