Retail therapy anyone? 3 top reasons why Bay Street is the ultimate shopping destination
A payday paradise!

Nicole Parnis

When Bay Street first opened back in 2000, it had caused quite the stir thanks to its funky, futuristic layout (we can all remember walking over that glass floor for the first time!), and now, almost 20 years later, it's still the most thriving shopping hotspot in town!

Located right in the hustle and bustle of Malta's premier entertainment quarter, Bay Street is the perfect place to get all your fun, food and shopping fixes! Here are just a few reasons why Bay Street is the place to be for smiles all round - not to mention that it's open everyday from 10am 'til 10pm - fantastic!

 1. It's shops galore

Whether it's designer labels or high street heavyweights you're after, Bay Street offers everything your heart desires! You'll find big names under their funky roofless mall, from pretty printed swimwear at Women'secret to stylish sportswear at Adidas, tailored suits at Bortex and everything in between! If it's a special gift you're after, make sure to pop in to L'Occitane for beauty balms, lotions and scrubs to pamper that special person in your life.

2. It's the perfect place for a friends' date

Bay Street is the ultimate girly date destination. Grab your bestie and start off with an Italian aperitivo at Blanco on the ground floor, before popping into Sun Lab to try on some designer sunnies. Make your way up the escalators and visit Armani Exchange or Tommy Hilfiger for a fantastic pick of designer goods. Get set for the weekend with a brand new dress from River Island before topping it off with a new pair of classy Charles & Keith killer heels. Don't mind if we do!

3. The restaurants are amazing

Once you've shopped 'til you dropped, treat your tastebuds at one of Bay Street's concept eateries. Dine with the stars at Hard Rock Cafe or newly opened Planet Hollywood, where you'll find relics from the music and movie industries. You're sure to be bowled over by their displays, from wands and scarves from Harry Potter to Rocky Balboa's boxing belt, a lifejacket and crockery from the film 'Titanic', Keith Richards' Fender guitar, Madonna's handmade dress from the video for True Blue, to Elton John's actual silver platform boots. Phew! If this isn't enough to impress, just wait until you see their menus!

Convinced yet? We think it's time for a shopping date!
