Strada Stretta's Facebook page recently posted a nostalgic throwback photo from 1963. The image captures a petroleum truck awaiting parishioners in Triq San Guzepp at the corner with Triq it-Trumuntana in Valletta.

Visible at the end of the corner is the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, adding a touch of historical charm.

The social media post and also its comments reminisce about the days when George, a familiar figure, used to sell petroleum to the locals.

The post also invites followers to recall their own memories of using kerosene and to identify another oil sellers who frequented San Dominick but whose names have been forgotten.

Do you remember the petroleum truck or George selling kerosene?
