Quacking with joy! Adorable ducks spotted enjoying the aftereffects of Gozo’s much-needed rain
Rainy days = happy ducks!

Francesca Vella

Not everyone was overjoyed with the rainy days last weekend brought the islands, but these ducks in Gozo seem to be loving every drop! The recent downpours, while bringing some shocking images of flooded roads and even the collapse of a building, also turned this valley into the perfect playground for our feathered friends!

You may have noticed that Gozo has been getting much more rain than Malta so far this season. Since 1st September, the average rainfall recorded has reached 101mm on the sister island, compared to just 15.5mm in Malta. Jealous?

With more unsettled weather on the horizon, we’ll just have to wait and see where today’s predicted showers decide to fall. One thing’s for sure though – Gozo’s ducks won’t be complaining!

Did you enjoy the rain as much as these ducks?
