Postponed! Hamrun’s Chocolate Festival rescheduled to Saturday 26th October
Chocolate lovers will have to wait one more week to indulge

As you may have heard, the weather forecast for this weekend is looking less than ideal. Saturday is expected to be particularly gloomy, with temperatures dropping below 25°C and stormy showers throughout the day.

In light of this, the Hamrun Local Council has announced that the highly anticipated Chocolate Festival, originally scheduled for this Saturday, will now take place one week later, on Saturday 26th October.

A key highlight of the festival is the unveiling of the chocolate sculptures, with last year’s ‘Gladiator’ sculpture of Russell Crowe’s character, Maximus Decimus Meridius, even catching the attention of the actor himself! Given the challenging weather conditions expected, this postponement will come as a relief to both attendees and creators, ensuring the festival can be enjoyed to the fullest in better weather.

How are you planning on spending the stormy Saturday?

17th October 2024
