Summer is here to stay.
We might be in the middle of October and right in the heart of Autumn but the current weather here in Malta and Gozo sure says otherwise.
Temperatures are still pretty high and reaching a 30°C high so might as well take the chance for another dip before the true Autumn weather hits and swimming becomes significantly more difficult.
According to Maltese Islands Weather, the following beaches are marked as safe from swimming. These include Marsaxlokk, Pretty Bay, Wied iż-Żurrieq, Għar Lapsi, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi, Dwejra and Dwejra Inland Sea.
Nonetheless, this is still October so there are quite a significant number of beaches one should avoid. These are Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Little Armier, Armier Bay, Mellieħa, Imġiebaħ, Mistra Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St. George's Bay, Sliema, Rinella Bay, Marsaskala, St. Thomas Bay, Ħofriet, Fomm ir-Riħ, Wied il-Għasri, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, San Blas Bay, Daħlet Qorrot and Ħondoq ir-Rummien.
The list is based on which beaches are likely going to be free from jellyfish and rough currents.
It might change throughout the day so make sure to keep an eye out for what beaches are marked as safe or not through here.
