Niche dedicated to St Paul in Rabat set to get some much-needed TLC
Nice one!

A historic niche, dedicated to St Paul is set to receive some much-needed TLC! The niche has incurred damages over the course of time, due to the effect of wild vegetation, rainfall, and damage to the stone.

The niche was commissioned by Grand Master de Vilhena way back in 1727. “Over the years it has had held a big importance among Rabat locals as well as on a national level,” a post on MaltaGov sharing photos read, noting that it has even attracted certain devoted visitors to the islands.

The niche is expected to be thoroughly cleaned from all natural elements as well as human interventions that don’t contribute to its historic value. The Agenzija Komunita Malta will be investing €100,000 in this niche’s restoration.
