Move over, big five! Malta is among this former Eurovision winner’s favourites this year
Malta is making the rounds at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest! Michela has been a favourite among the bookies, who have placed her seventh out of all the countries to take the title. And now, Malta has been mentioned yet again. We’re on fire!
The 2016 Eurovision winner, singer and composer Jamala, has listed her favourites for this year’s performance, and we’re at the top! The Ukrainian singer lists Malta, Sweden, Montenegro, Israel, Armenia, Ireland, Azerbaijan, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and Russia as her faves. Obvs!
Jamala won the 2016 edition of the Eurovision in Stockholm, Sweden with the song 1944, after an exciting final where she had to face Russia and Australia at the top of the scoreboard. Her song featured lyrics in the Crimean Tatar language, which was quite the twist from the usual wins.
Don’t forget to tune in for the semi-finals, starting tomorrow!
