Michelin-starred chef to present stunning menu at Palazzo Parisio this Valentine’s Day
Those who have attended one or more of the special dinners in Palazzo Parisio’s Luna Welcomes the Stars series will understand our excitement at the next installment being announced this month. And those who haven’t, well, you seriously need to get on this bandwagon!
Kicking off last year, the exceptional culinary nights at Naxxar’s beautiful palazzo have seen a number of Michelin-starred chefs gracing local diners with specially prepared menus for one night only. And now, after a short break for the Christmas season, the series is back with Neapolitan-born chef Angelo Carannante from Caracol in Campi Flegrei.
Chef Carannante will be preparing a five-course menu complete with wine pairings on 14th February, making for a perfect outing for foodies this Valentine’s Day. Gaining his first star in 2018 for his exceptional creations, the chef will prepare a Michelin quality menu that is sure to set pulses racing. Here’s what to expect:
The special menu
Reconstructed tomato filled with tuna tartare, anchovy essence and lemon
Pork cheek with chocolate, ponzu sauce
Red prawns with chickpea foam with tosazu and lime
A Neapolitan specialty of pasta and potatoes with smoked tea, goat cheese and black truffle
A modern take on risotto alla pescatore with clams, sea urchins and cuttlefish ink
Beef fillet with pumpkin, tangerine and liquorice
Angelo’s take on a Neapolitan Classic - Delizia a limone
Coffee & petit fours
Bookings are open for the one-night only event, which costs €110 per person, including wine pairing.
