This year’s edition of Mellieha Nights will take place from 27th till 29th July, and what festivity awaits! Mellieha Nights is a grand celebration of culture, history, music and tradition for everyone to enjoy. This free event showcases the beautiful and distinctive characteristics of the stunning Northern locality - Mellieha!

When we think of Mellieha, the first thing that pops into most of our heads is a daytime trip to the beach, or possibly a Sunday lunchtime outing, but think again… the northern town has lots more to offer, and Mellieha Nights is a great place to start.
Opening night will feature dance performances by the Agia Napa Traditional Dancers as well as live musical performances by local singers. The stage will light up with a special concert by Spiteri Lucas Band for some all-time classics and crowd favourites including songs from Abba, The Beatles and Tina Turner among others. Welcome local talent Neville Refalo, Debbie Scerri, Olivia Lewis and Richard Edwards on the 27th also. Closing the night, DJ Max will hit the decks with his set entitled Wave Trip.

And you may find that a one-time visit is not enough for this outdoor festival! Pay the square a visit on Saturday 28th from 7:30pm onwards for a stunning medieval reenactment by Project Lazzarus, promptly followed by German act Ro Ho - Trio - Hocheifel. A live concert by Paul Abela Band will also stun the crowd with their interpretation of legendary Maltese songs. Look out for accompanying Maltese singers Georgina, Roger Tirazona, Louisana Bartolo and Renato, who will be accompanied by Paul Curmi Dancers.
The action is not only being held in the square though! Take a trip to Gorg Borg Olivier Street for a glance at the Summer Carnival parade, where dance performances can be enjoyed. And if this isn’t enough, you’ll be glad to hear that both the Sanctuary Courtyard and the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mellieha will also be two areas hosting events for the night. Discover more crafts-related activities and vocal concerts at each spot respectively.

Sunday will be the last day to enjoy the Mellieha Nights festival, with the Grand Finale taking place at 11pm. Brace yourself for a Pyro-Musical Display in which the Mellieha Fireworks Association will showcase a beautifully choreographed firework performance with apt music in the background.
Gather your friends and family for a fun-filled weekend for all to enjoy!
