We couldn’t believe this either! This summer is definitely going to rock with two concerts which will go down in local music history. American punk band Gogol Bordello and the legendary Kaiser Chiefs are heading to Malta!
And, they are playing on two separate evenings, as part of Rock ‘N Malta, which means there’s going to be twice the fun. First up is Gogol Bordello, who will be rocking the stage at Aria Complex on 30th July. Grab your tickets – while you still can – here. And, at the end of August, Kaiser Chiefs will be playing the same venue. Tickets are also already on sale here.
Gogol Bordello reached cult status following their appearance in the 2005 film Everything Is Illuminated, in which the lead singer, Eugene Hütz, co-starred with Elijah Wood. The band’s song Start Wearing Purple was even added to the film's score.
English indie band, The Kaiser Chiefs, whose tracks include Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Everyday I Love You Less and Less, have cemented their status as one of the world’s best loved groups, with their latest album Education, Education, Education & War reaching number one in the charts.
During the concerts, Maltese bands Brodu and Bila will be supporting Gogol Bordello and Kaiser Chiefs respectively. Rock on!
