Maltese Drag Racer Duncan Micallef set to compete in the renowned UK Santa Pod Raceway this weekend
The competition is the first round of the FIA/FIM European Championships.
The Maltese racer Duncan Micallef who is the president of the Maltese federation of Motorsport and is an ex European Fuel Dragster Drag Racing champion is competing at the UK Santa Pod raceway this weekend as part of ‘The Main Event’ competition.
This will be the first round of the FIA/FIM European Championships and Duncan will be competing in the Top Fuel Dragster event.
The Top Fuel Dragster event consists of race of cars which run on nitromethane and can reach speeds in excess of 300mph accelerating from 0 - 100mph in under one second.
The talented Maltese athlete will be competing alongside five other world-class racers which include Susanne Callin and Dennis Nilsson from Sweden, Jndia Erbacher from Switzerland, Ida Zetterstrom from Finland and Stig Neergaard from Denmark.
