Maltese athletes Emma Grech and Raissa Camilleri place eighth at the HYROX World Championships in Manchester
The talented Maltese athlete duo, Emma Grech and Raissa Camilleri have finished amongst the top 10 at the HYROX 22/23 World Championships in Manchester.
They managed to achieve eighth place over thousands of athletes from all across the across the world.
Emma and Raissa were also the first female double Maltese athletes to make it to such a competition.
The HYROX sport consists of a 1km run which is then followed by one functional workout. Both the run and workout have to be repeated a whopping eight times, making such a sport an extremely hard challenge.
Yet, the Maltese duo still returned back from Manchester with an incredible top 10 placement.
“To compete and place in the TOP10 amongst the PRO athletes feels like a dream”, Raissa wrote on her social media.
Well done Emma and Raissa!
