Get ready to celebrate love, equality, and visibility – because Malta Pride Week 2025 is officially happening between 5th and 14th September, and this year promises to be louder, prouder, and more purposeful than ever.
Festivities will also be taking place on the sister island at Gozo Pride on Saturday 6th September, leading up to the main Malta Pride March in Valletta on Saturday 13th September. With a full week of events, community gatherings, and meaningful activism in between, Pride Week will once again bring together communities across Malta and Gozo in a powerful celebration of visibility and solidarity.
Malta has plenty to be proud of. For the tenth consecutive year, the country has ranked first in ILGA-Europe's Rainbow Map, recognising our progressive strides in LGBTIQ+ rights and equality.
But this celebration comes with a reminder: the work isn’t done. While honouring how far Malta has come, the Pride Week team reminds the public that there are still challenges to face – from the full legal recognition of non-binary individuals to the implementation of Malta’s updated LGBTIQ+ Equality Strategy and Action Plan.
Pride Week 2025 will serve as both a celebration and a call to action. As the organisers wrote, ‘It will be loud, it will be proud, and it will be a powerful reminder that our fight is far from over.’
