Malta is once again playing host to a major international production, this time with Disney+ and National Geographic joining forces on the brand-new series ‘Surviving Pompeii’.

The three-part docudrama, each episode running for around 60 minutes, combines factual accounts of Pompeii’s tragic natural disaster with gripping drama, brought to life through the narration of acclaimed actor Tom Hiddleston, known for his role as ‘Loki’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

A significant portion of the production is being filmed right here in Malta, with locations including Fort Ricasoli, Villa Bologna, and the Majjistral Park. In fact, around 65% of the entire series is being shot locally, with some 167 Maltese crew members involved across various departments.
