It's official! Dogs are permitted inside local restaurants, health authorities say
Social distancing protocols do not impact pets.

Dogs are officially allowed to join their owners dining at local restaurants, health authorities have revealed.

Only yesterday, local animal sanctuary MSPCA issued a statement revealing they had been told by the Malta Tourism Authority that restaurants carrying the COVID-19 conformity badge were not permitted to allow animals inside due to fears of transmission between animals and humans.

However, this has reportedly been negated by the health authorities today, who confirmed restaurant owners are permitted to accept pets in along with their owners.

Yay!

When she’s not having a quarter-life crisis, Caroline is either drawing in a café, frittering her salary on sushi or swearing at traffic in full-on Gozitan. There is also the occasional daytime drink somewhere in the equation. Or two. A creative must be allowed at least one vice.
