The company’s on the lookout for drivers.
Uber, a global mobility service provider headquartered in San Francisco, is set to land in Malta in the near future.
This corporate giant currently has operations spanning a whopping 72 countries, with our islands on track to be the 73rd.
Though best-known for its cab services, Uber also offers food delivery through Uber Eats and Postmates, package delivering, as well as electric bike and scooter rentals.
Whilst it has been confirmed that Uber will bring its ride-hailing services to the islands, it is not yet clear whether the rest of its services will be following suit.
It’s safe to say that Uber will not be short of competition here in Malta, with local and foreign cab companies of the likes of Bolt, eCabs, Heetch, and Ryde battling it out for market share.
It has been made known that Uber officials in Malta are currently on the look-out for potential drivers, although no specific date has been set for the company’s local launch.
Uber does not own any of the vehicles its drivers operate and earns its revenue by receiving a percentage of the fare price.
Do you think Uber will be successful in Malta?
