It’s Christmas week! Here are the events happening in Malta & Gozo from 22nd to 25th December
The festive spirit has reached an all-time high: the turkey’s entering the oven and carols are blasting from all the speakers – Christmas is almost here! And with it, here are some events to get you in the spirit... or to stave off the food coma.
Monday 22nd December
Swingin' with Miles at Offbeat
Enjoy an evening of swinging jazz as a talented trio featuring Miles Busuttil on guitar, Oliver Degabriele on bass and Ġużé Camilleri on drums brings the timeless sounds of the Great American Songbook to life. Stained Glass Sip & Paint - Festive edition
Get into the festive mood with a cozy creative evening at La Casita, where art, wine and warm vibes come together. During this intimate session, you’ll paint a stained glass–inspired artwork, perfect as seasonal décor, a heartfelt gift or a personal keepsake. Tuesday 23rd December
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (25th Anniversary)
Your favourite holiday hater returns to the big screen as How The Grinch Stole Christmas celebrates its 25th anniversary re-release. Follow the story of the reclusive, green Grinch living atop Mount Crumpit, whose plan to steal Christmas from the cheerful Whos of Whoville leads to a heartwarming reminder of what the festive season is really about.
Wartime Christmas - Student Passport
Discover how Christmas was celebrated during wartime! This themed workshop invites children to explore museum archives, including Christmas dinner menus, personal photos, and cards from soldiers. Inspired by the museum’s artefacts, participants will then create their own military-themed Christmas ornament, offering a unique and hands-on holiday experience.
ChristmasFest
Celebrate the festive season with ChristmasFest: Storja ta’ Kant u Mużika on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025 at 5:45pm. The programme features the musical performance O Ġesu’ Bambin, led by Banda Santa Marija under Mro. Dr. Joseph Grech, with special appearances by singers Edel Pace and Fabian Galea. The performance follows the traditional Bambin procession departing from Dar tad-Duttrina at 5:00pm and will continue to bring festive cheer during the novena mass.

MADC is bringing the magic back to Teatru Salesjan, Sliema with this year's spectacular Christmas Pantomime, Snow White! Written by Alan Montanaro and directed by Stephen Oliver, alongside a fantastic team of creatives, this festive adventure promises laughter, music, and plenty of suprises! Matinee and evening performances run from 23rd December 2025 to 5th January 2026.
Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve)
Christmas Eve Special at POPP Social Club
POPP Social Club is turning up the heat with a Latin-infused fiesta packed with rhythm, colour and feel-good vibes. Live on stage is Maracujazz, a vibrant collective blending Colombian musical roots with the spontaneity of jazz, serving up an irresistible mix of salsa, boleros, cumbias, bossa nova and samba. Keeping the party going late into the night, Don Nadie takes over the decks with his signature electro-cumbia, ensuring non-stop grooves on the dance floor.
Santa's Magical Stop
Celebrate Christmas Eve at PLAYMOBIL FunPark Malta with a festive family day full of laughter, cheer, and holiday magic. Enjoy fun activities like balloon modelling, elf dancing, raffles, and a special surprise visit from Santa himself! Tickets are available at the door on a first-come, first-served basis.
Christmas Eve Karaoke

Ġugar Xmas Eve Party 2025
After a two-year pause, the party is back! Join the festive chaos this Christmas Eve for an evening of messy, high-energy fun. Early vibes are brought by Ann & El, followed by late-night sounds from The Pink Machine. Free entrance, free fun — just bring your dancing shoes!
Not-so-silent Xmas Eve
This Christmas Eve, turn tradition on its head with a night of pure underground energy. NOT-SO-SILENT XMAS-EVE brings two stages, zero silence, and non-stop grooves that hit harder than your aunt’s holiday questions. On the Groovy Bells House Stage, dance to LEM, Guel, Yama Gata and Selem, while the Mad Jingles Techno Stage keeps the beats pounding with Abdy, Chino, Shabab Khan and Oblx. Doors open at 10pm for a festive night like no other.
Sirena's Christmas Eve Drag Party
Baby, it may be cold outside, but things are heating up this Christmas Eve with a glitter-packed Drag Show full of festive flair. Expect fierce performances, sing-alongs, games, and prizes all night long, hosted by the fabulous Chucky Bartolo. With limited spots available, this is one Christmas Eve celebration you won’t want to miss.
Christmas Eve @ Salu
This year, Christmas goes full cringe - and that’s exactly the point. Expect a laid-back party with curated DJ sets by Gumbs, CnD, Scibi and Fresh Prince, free pizza until 8pm, and non-stop festive chaos from 4:30pm till late.
