‘Intense low-pressure system’ from North Africa bringing sandy rain this coming weekend
Unstable weather is expected to continue for the rest of May…

Malta is largely used to sunny and favourable weather conditions during the spring month of May but this has not been the case this year as unstable weather took over instead.

The month has been characterised by strong winds, cloudy weather and even the occasional rain showers.

🇬🇧 There will be more Sahara Desert weather this weekend ⚠️ Please SHARE for all your family and friends to know!...

Last week, the country was even hit with sandy rain, the type that leaves your cars and windows incredibly mucky and dirty.

Maltese Islands weather has now issued a warning, advising its followers that the same kind of sandy rain is expected for the coming weekend.

A low-pressure system from North Africa will move across the Mediterranean and bring with it “strong to very strong scirocco winds, sandy rain and overcast skies with airborne fine desert sand”.

Therefore, don’t bother with any car washing or window cleaning this week as the Sahara desert weather will make sure your efforts will be in vain.
