Miniature mastery! Rebecca Micallef featured in ‘100 Artists of Europe’ by Culturale Lab
Her featured work is Le Château - a striking Georgian-style dolls’ house.
Maltese miniature artist Rebecca Micallef has had her work recognised overseas, after being featured in 100 Artists of Europe, a prestigious publication by Italy’s Culturale Lab.
Known for her exquisitely detailed period dolls’ houses, Rebecca was one of 100 artists selected from across the continent, and notably, the only dollhouse artist included in the book.
Her featured work, Le Château, is a striking Georgian-style dolls’ house filled with delicate French and Baroque elegance. Known for her meticulous craftsmanship and historically inspired interiors, Rebecca brings miniature spaces to life with remarkable authenticity, each room layered with intricate architectural details and carefully curated décor.
Sharing the news on social media, Rebecca expressed her gratitude: ‘A heartfelt thank you to the entire team behind the book and to Cultural Lab for this opportunity. It has been a privilege to be part of this special project.’
This latest achievement adds to an already impressive journey. In 2024, Rebecca launched her book, Designing and Decorating a Period Dolls' House, in the Netherlands. The guide draws on her long-standing passion for creating historically accurate period dolls’ houses and offers readers insight into the art of designing and decorating richly detailed miniature interiors.
Congratulations Rebecca!
