Mark your calendars!

Francesca Vella

Festivals Malta has announced Saturday 4th October as the date for one of the most anticipated events on Malta’s cultural calendar – Notte Bianca, or ‘Lejl Imdawwal’ in Maltese.

On this night, every corner of Valletta transforms into a potential performance space, as the city is filled with lights and live performances and concerts. Churches, state palaces and museums, as well as cafés and restaurants, will extend their opening hours, allowing visitors to enjoy the capital city till much later than usual.

Various routes will guide the public through the myriad of performances taking place on the night, such as the Dance route, Kids route and Alternative route. A detailed programme for the night will be out soon, so stay tuned!

Are you looking forward to this year’s Notte Bianca?
