‘I wish for you this opportunity’ - Russell Crowe praises Valletta seafood restaurant
You can’t really call yourself a Maltese foodie if you’ve never paid a visit to Valletta’s Capo Crudo…
Aptly placed on the Michelin Guide, this delectable spot’s best known for its fresh seafood, superb views, and traditional carbonara.
It just so happens that Hollywood A-lister Russell Crowe was one of the restaurant’s latest patrons – and it’s safe to say that he was one very satisfied customer.
“Last night I went to a restaurant – Capo Crudo, in Valletta. Michelin. When you taste the food you know why,” the Oscar-winning actor wrote to his audience of 2.7 million Twitter followers.
“I had a dish that was mussels, clams, [and] calamari in a delicate, subtle Thai style sauce. It brought many loves together in one experience. I wish you for this opportunity,” he continued.
Needless to say, Capo Crudo’s management was ecstatic to receive such praise; so much so that they took to social media to express their gratitude.
Russell had last spent time in Malta back in 1999 to shoot the cult classic ‘Gladiator’. A quick look at the actor’s latest will showcase his deep love for the island.
