Heritage Malta is inviting you to spend the night in the Inquisitor Palace’s PRISON
One of Heritage Malta’s latest events is like no other they have ever organised before.
On Friday, 28th October, Heritage Malta is inviting you to experience something extremely odd but incredibly fun, to spend a night in the spooky cells of the Inquisitor’s Palace in Birgu.
During the evening, you’ll be given a special tour of the palace together with a special drink that commemorates and symbolises the ups and downs of life.
The ‘Dominicans in the Palace’ exhibition will also be on display for those who are visiting on this faithful night.
After the exhibition, visitors will have the chance to learn more about the ‘Easter of All Souls’ holiday. They will also have access to areas and objects within the Palace that are not usually open to the public.
This will be followed by a thematic dinner that will include the recalling of funeral rites together with a short lecture from Guzi Gatt.
Those who dare, will then have the chance to sleep in the doomed palace cells that date back to the 17th century.
Not exactly your average stay in a hotel…
The whole activity will be conducted in Maltese and will start at 7pm.
Tickets for those that which to participate in the activities and spend the night can be bought here.
Tickets for those who just want to take part in the activities but leave for the night can be bought here.
