Bank of Valletta’s Facebook page has announced the temporary closure of its Zurrieq branch as of today, Wednesday 21st October. They also announced that their Gzira and Marsa branches are back in service today, too.

“The Gżira and Marsa Branches were temporarily closed after third parties tested positive for COVID-19. The Bank engaged an infection prevention control specialist to disinfect the Branches and following confirmation by the Health Authorities the Branches are now safe to reopen for business,” the statement read.

“The Żurrieq Branch will be temporarily closed until further notice since a staff member tested positive for COVID-19. The ATM services will operate in the normal manner whilst the Night Safe facility will be unavailable until further notice,” they announced.

“The Branch will be thoroughly sanitised and will reopen once it is ascertained safe to do so for the safety and well-being of customers and staff. The Health Authority will contact those individuals who might have been exposed to the contagion as part of their contact tracing protocol.”

Before visiting any BOV Branch, the bank is encouraging locals to check whether their Branch has been impacted. Click this link to find out. Stay safe, everyone!
