Happy hour! Here are Malta’s top spots for divine cocktails - according to locals
Will it be a Mojito or an Old Fashioned?

Francesca Vella

Cocktails are great all year round, but there’s something about the warm summer sun that makes them even more enjoyable.

The islands offer plenty of places to go if you’re craving one, so we asked GuideMeMalta.com readers for their recommendations, and here are the winners:

The Thirsty Barber (St Julians)

The decor at The Thirsty Barber takes you back to the exciting 1920’s era when prohibition meant having a cocktail was illegal! Luckily, you’re in safe hands here.

Hammett’s Gastro Bar (Tigne, Sliema)

Hammett's Gastro Bar is the place to meet people, drink delicious cocktails and enjoy the beautiful views that Tigne has to offer.

The Cisk Tap (Imrieħel)

Part of the new Brewhouse complex in the centre of Imrieħel, The Cisk Tap is the perfect place for a cocktail after a long day at work, especially if your office happens to be in the area!

Sensi Beach Lido (Marsaskala)

Offering a big screen and happy hour on cocktails between 3pm and 6pm on Sundays, there’s no better place than Sensi Beach Lido to watch the Euro games while enjoying a Negroni!

AKI (Valletta)

Special occasion coming up? Treat your loved one to a cocktail and some Japanese food at the beautiful restaurant and lounge bar AKI in the heart of the capital.

NAAR RestoBar (Balluta, Sliema)

If you’d like some vegan nibbles alongside your cocktail, look no further than NAAR RestoBar!

Zion Bar & Restaurant (Marsaskala)

Well known for its annual ‘Rock the South’ event, Zion is the place to be if you’re in the mood for a casual cocktail right near the sea.
