Get your green on! Here are the St Patrick’s Day events happening in Malta & Gozo
For many in Malta, St Patrick’s is an opportunity to let their hair down as the weather begins to warm up, gathering in the streets of St Julian’s that come alive with music, and meeting old friends (or making new ones).
Originally a religious feast, St Patrick’s Day is celebrated on March 17th to honour the passing of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. While the holiday has little historical connection to Malta, that hasn’t stopped thousands from embracing the Irish spirit! The biggest celebrations are usually centred around St Julian’s, but you’ll find St. Paddy’s Day vibes in other spots across the island too, despite it falling on a Monday this year!
If you’re looking to join in on the fun, here are some top events happening this year. Just remember – wear something green, bring some party spirit and get ready for some Irish cheer!
How will you be celebrating this year?
