Dimitar Berbatov, the renowned former goal scorer for Manchester United, recently embarked on an exclusive tour of Malta. Invited by VisitMalta, he was also joined, on this picturesque adventure, by Sam Homewood, presenter from MUTV.

The duo embraced the Maltese experience by cruising on gondolas through the enchanting Grand Harbour. The backdrop featured the captivating Three Cities and the iconic Valletta, creating a visually stunning setting for their exploration.

Adding an adventurous twist to their visit, Dmitar and Sam also took the scenic route and bike raced near the Salt Pans on Gozo, the sister island of Malta. The landscapes provided a breathtaking backdrop as they pedalled through the natural beauty of the surroundings.

After their active pursuits, the pair indulged in a delightful and wholesome vegan meal at the Country Terrace Restaurant in Mġarr. What made this dining experience even more special was the emphasis on locally grown produce and the incorporation of one of Dimitar’s favourite foods – dates!

The duo’s journey through Malta was a blend of cultural immersion, scenic exploration, and culinary delights and it seems that our islands made quite the impression!

We hope you enjoyed your trip!
