Friday 30th July: Daily cases hit triple-digits again as Malta registers 111 new cases

The Health Authority’s Facebook page, Sahha, has published today's figures. Malta has registered 111 new cases of COVID-19 after 3,693 swabs were done in the past 24 hours.
The islands have registered 199 recoveries, meaning the total recovery tally stands at 31,410 and the number of active cases to 1972. Since the outbreak, Malta has recorded 34,201 cases and has performed 1,087,183 swab tests. Thankfully, no deaths have been registered over the past 24 hours, meaning the local death toll remains at 423.
The post also noted that until yesterday, 29th July, 755,655 vaccine doses have been administered to various people on the islands. 398,444 of these were first doses while 379,016 people are now fully vaccinated. In addition, from the cases reported yesterday, the average age was 33. A total of 36 patients are being treated at Mater Dei, with one currently in ITU.
