Over the weekend, many Maltese dancers from two local dance companies, came out as champions at the open Blackpool Champions of tomorrow 2023 competition.

Liam and Rhianna together with Skander and Samira have from Strictly 360 dance studio made Malta extremely proud after leaving the UK with a champions trophy in their hands in the Under 16 and Under 14 categories respectively.

“I am so proud and honoured to be able to see our students achieving such fantastic results and getting to experience”, their dance coach, Laurence wrote on social media.

“Well done to all our couples, you truly are putting Malta on the Dance Map....”, he continued.

Other Maltese dancers under the same coach also achieved some incredible results in Blackpool.

Alejandro & Krista placed 6th at the under 14 open competition, while Kazem and Salishia achieved third place in the under 12 juvenile competition.

At such a young age Tristan and Jade managed 4th place at the under 10 competition.

Kerstin Cefai and Erika Grech also competed for the first ever and managed to make it to third place in the under 35 competition.

Additionally, a group of dancers from Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy were also super successful. They managed five first places, five second place, eight third places, four forth place, one fifth place, four sixth places, one seventh place and 14 semi-finalists.

“You were all shining stars on the Winter Gardens dance floor! I am immensely proud of each and every student who”, the studio wrote.
