Siggiewi’s beloved ‘Festa Gheneb’ is set to return again this September, from the 16th to the 17th with an exciting programme of festivities.

On Saturday, 16th September the festival is set to organise a fashion show with a Maltese theme as well as many artisanal exhibitions while local bands entertain all those that attend.

The morning of Sunday, 17th September, the festival will see a huge agricultural feast as a livestock exhibition together with an exhibition of agricultural machinery will be there for all the family to enjoy. The traditional Maltese folkore music, ghana will also be playing there all morning long.

Families can also take their pets or any other animals to be blessed by the local priests.

Additionally, car enthusiasts will be happy to know that classic cars will be exhibited at the Maltese village.

This will all be followed by a larger night of festivities on the same day. The night of the 17th is set to see many local wine products being exhibited alongside many of the machinery and tools used for any food and drink products related to grapes.

The local bands set to play the festival Sterjotipi, Kantera and I Love Rug.

Siggiewi’s local shelter is set to be open all throughout the festival for all those history buffs that wish to visit.
