Heritage Malta is hosting a special World Environment Day event at Għar Dalam, bringing together a diverse range of environmental NGOs and entities for the first time. The unique gathering takes place within the site’s endemic gardens, prehistoric cave, museum, and protected Natura 2000 grounds. Visitors can explore interactive exhibits and learn about vital conservation work dedicated to studying and protecting local flora and fauna.

Attendees can discover incredible Ice Age fauna exhibits in the museum to understand island environments prior to human arrival. Guests can also book guided tours of the adjoining Wied Dalam to witness ongoing ecological restoration efforts firsthand. Families can enjoy dedicated educational activities, including simulation digging pits where older children can experience the hands-on work of a palaeontologist.
