On Sunday 3rd November, St Paul’s Catacombs and St Augustine’s Catacombs in Rabat will open to the public for free!
St Paul’s Catacombs are spread over an underground area of 7000 square metres and include Christian, Jewish and Pagan tombs. During the Open Day, get to know more about the artefacts and funerary rites of ancient Punic, Roman and Byzantine times!
Programme of activities at St Paul's Catacombs:
- 11.00hrs - Guided tour in Maltese
- 12.00hrs - Children's activity using clay
- 13.00hrs - Guided tour in English
- 15.00hrs - Children's activity using clay
Pottery washing, by the students of the Classics & Archaeology Student Association (CASA), will be held between 10.00 & 16.00hrs, Throughout the day, children can learn more about this site by joining our quiz hunt!
