Escape to the tranquillity of Villa Frere's gardens on Sunday. Originally created in 1831 by British diplomat John Hookham Frere as a solace after his wife's passing, the villa's garden offers a serene retreat. Revived by Captain Edward Price, it became a botanic garden and a beloved attraction. Today, a third of the original area remains, and the NGO Friends of Villa Frere is working to preserve and restore it. Entrance is €5, supporting restoration efforts. Parking is available inside St. Luke's hospital grounds. Immerse yourself in the charm of Villa Frere and help preserve this cultural gem.
