Il-Ħaġar Museum will open its first temporary exhibition of 2026 with a solo show by Gozitan artist Clara Azzopardi, titled DIJA. The exhibition explores the presence of light as it moves through moments of grief, hope, memory, celebration, and everyday life.
Drawing inspiration from two recurring spaces, the home and the sea, Clara Azzopardi reflects on light as both a source of refuge and a mirror of human experience. Indoors, light transforms spaces into sanctuaries, while outdoors it dances across the ever-changing surface of the sea. Through this body of work, the artist captures fleeting moments of stillness, inviting reflection in a world of constant movement.
