Experience a world premiere oratorio inspired by The Seven Acts of Charity, the traditional Corporal Acts of Mercy that illustrate Christian teachings through acts such as feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and burying the dead. The performance takes place in the Oratory of the Confraternity of Our Lady of Charity, alongside a newly restored 17th-century Crucifix by Atelier del Restauro, sponsored by Tumas Group. The works are linked to biblical episodes, brought to life through the artistry of 17th-century Maltese painter Giuseppe d’Arena. Performers include soprano Mariah Costa, tenor Giosue Agius, baritone Joseph Cutajar, and bass Mark Bartolo, accompanied by strings and organ.
In collaboration with Opera Nova Project, the concert celebrates art, music, and faith. Entrance is free, with donations welcome, and access is from Archbishop Street.
