As thunderstorms, rain and strong winds are predicted for the coming days, now is the time to go for a cool dip before Autumn weather arrives.

Thankfully, according to ‘Maltese Islands Weather’, the majority of Malta’s beaches have been marked as safe to swim in for today.

The safe beaches are Marfa, Ramla l-Bir, Little Armier, Armier Bay, Mellieħa, Imġiebaħ, Mistra Bay, St. Paul's Bay, Qawra, Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq, St. George's Bay, Sliema, Rinella Bay, Golden Bay, Anchor Bay, Paradise Bay, Wied il-Għasri, Xwejni Bay, Qbajjar, Marsalforn, Ramla l-Ħamra, San Blas Bay, Daħlet Qorrot, Dwejra Inland Sea.

However not all of Malta and Gozo’s picturesque beaches have been marked as safe.

‘Maltese Islands Weather’ recommends swimmers to avoid the following beaches, Marsaskala, St. Thomas Bay, Ħofriet, Marsaxlokk, Pretty Bay,Wied iż-Żurrieq, Għar Lapsi, Fomm ir-Riħ, Ġnejna Bay, Għajn Tuffieħa, Ħondoq ir-Rummien, Mġarr ix-Xini, Xlendi, Dwejra

The list is based on which beaches are likely going to be free from jellyfish and rough currents.

It might change throughout the day so make sure to keep an eye out for what beaches are marked as safe or not through here.
