Temperatures are also expected to drop significantly.

It looks like the end of summer is soon here as Malta and Gozo are about to be hit with strong winds and the possibility of thunderstorms in the following days.

Starting from today, the wind force is expected to get significantly stronger until it reaches up to Force six on both Saturday and Sunday.

The wind force will slightly calm down by Monday but don’t expect summer weather to return so soon as according to ‘Maltese Islands Weather’, thunderstorms are likely to hit the islands on the 25th and 26th September.

On both days the minimum temperatures are predicted to have a real feel of 18°C so the scorching heat will thankfully disappear for a while.

The thunderstorms are likely to disperse by Wednesday, 27th September but chances of isolated showers are still likely on the day.

Do you enjoy this kind of weather?
